On A Journey To The Unknown

One By One

As I look out my front window
At the two great big old trees
The leaves are already falling
With colors there to see

One by one, they are dropping
As they slowly cover the ground
With a blanket of many colors
For all of us to see, now

When I walk out my front door
What a beautiful site to see
With all the pretty colors
Just waiting there for me

they make
a pretty picture walk
beneath my feet,
their mother tree
mixed of multicolored blessings
watching their beauty fall off,
as they leave her,
she shudders, knowing
her arms of december
inevitably to be empty

Sue, what a feast for the eyes! It is as though I have a colourful stand of trees in front of me in all their autumnal glory!

I love this, you did them justice. I also have a yard full to rake and pile and turn into mulch.They serve so many purposes from the beginning to the end. "Late"
