On the corner It’s the two story House with white sides And wooden eaves A piebald dog By the chain link fence It is just autumn And the air is cool They stand Happily together For a picture She is Holding the fish she caught He is tall and proud They smile Into the camera With its single eye That catches them In a moment As they are or were When on nothing good Would it—ever rain . |
