Strength From A Friend

Sometimes I wish
There was someone else
Then, those memories come
And I am glad I'm by myself

Still, the loneliness is often
Way too much to bear
Then I start to wish again
That, there was someone there

Someone to hold me close
If or when, I start to feel weak
Although, it isn't very often
I lose my strength

It would be nice to have someone
Who I can for a change, count on
Someone to always be there where
I don't always have to stand so strong

But, that is not the way it is
So, I do the best that I can
And, sometimes I have to
Get my strength from a friend

Sue I can relate to the words you speak , for at time I feel weak
Although we are far apart , we share as friends heart to heart
