Devotion


With the dawning of every day,
I whisper gentle kisses upon your sweet face,
And warm your tender skin with my rays.
You are mine.

In the shadow of your image,
I protect the ground you walk on,
And collect your tears as they fall.
I am your guardian.

I live for the moment
When you would turn around
And know that I have never left you.
I am yours.

I am your sun and your moon.
I am the universe you call home.
Just being close enough to touch you
enchants me.
