It is said that when you stop looking,
you will turn around and there they will be.

I had given up on love,
and then you were sent.

I still struggle each day with insecurities,
yet it is you I see when I close my eyes.

Often wonder if you really know just how much I love you,
that you are embedded in each fibre of my being.

As I lay and watch you sleeping,
my heart is yours to keep.

We stand beside eachother and are there to support and love,
we have been through a lot in a time short.

When I touch you lightly,
it is with a passion that runs very deep.

It is what drifts me off at night,
to my very peaceful sleep.

I love you,
with every beat of my heart.

I am truly thankful to God.

Finally after many years,
of feeling always out of place.

I have a life, a home,
and my heart fills this space.
