Dearest feather on the breeze
Further away you float from me
Far away from sweet delight
With aching eyes
a desperate flight
into blue horizon

Dearest feather on the sea
Further away you drift from me
Ride the southern, greedy tide
With breaking heart
An endless night
Sink to nothingness

You are the feather
Who is the sea
Who is the wind and tide
Steals you from me?
