Iron Swing the iron swing held me grounded to where it was I was and going to fair haired Mississippi child gliding racing back and forth to now dreams cutting the air in sharp pointed toes in wind that held smells brewing that would never be covered by the stirring dirt under my bare feet I could hear the thunder rolling low across the grass between house and toes starting slowly at first to a major rumble higher I flew in the middle of commotion waiting for just the right moments dismount running out of breath to slam kitchen door to find momma cooking up a storm "no darkness has ever been deep enough to extinguish my personal knowledge of love" Anne Rice |

Wonderful 'slice of life' impression! [Like several other forms/styles of "Realism" 'writes', I have never successfully done this type of thing; but, greatly admire those who can and do!] serious applause!! |
