Waiting for the Show They're working in my fields today Inserting orb surprises And I will have a front row seat When stunning beauty rises. The planted fields are quietly Protecting hidden treasure That will, in six short months, unfold To beauty beyond measure. I will be here to see it all When green spears first appear As public notice to the fact There'll be a show this year. The weatherman has the last word On when to raise the curtain. For these glories of the valley The exact time is uncertain. Its for sure they'll bloom in April, Maybe early, maybe late. The wisest tourist calls ahead To ask expected date. I'll be cheered through out the winter's cold Just knowing what's to come; The glorious tulips being timed By Nature's pendulum. By: Joyce 10/02/07 |

Oh thank you Marge. This is just down the road from me. Last year it was daffodils in my fields but this next spring it is going to be a sight like this. Thanks for the pictures. Love, Joyce |

Your thankful anticipation is heartwarming. The pictures are breathtaking, too. This time of year, I'm just looking for the brilliant leaves. YOu're way ahead of that. God bless, Rae |

The glorious tulips being timed By nature's pendulum. What a delightful way with words you have Joyce, I can almost see those fields of Tulips, one of my favourite flowers. Much enjoyed Lindsay |

Your poem paints a beautiful picture, Joyce, and there's no better place to paint it than in Washington. I was raised in the Northwest and this poem "speaks" to me. Ida |
