A scene of beauty unparalleled and unique in this world, a wall time-worn but steady in it’s grassy mound now home to mice and sparrow’s call. Our Visitors would have sighed if their alien physique had allowed but for now they remained behind and observed this planet well endowed. Wonder rose as they zoomed in looked closer at a trace of motion from a body that had been perfectly still. It was only a step, a shuffle, vague notion but so deliberate and accurate that the aliens’ attention had been caught. Looking close they could now perceive one creature taking very careful leave of it’s former hiding spot in the event that another creature came to mend the silent hider’s solitude, to embrace as friend and indeed, another creature came. Our observers observed in awe as a dance unfurled under their appreciative eye The newcomer now on the witless advance the hider drawing closer, unnoticed, through the rye Their grace, the care with which they moved brought emotion to those who watched and silently they waited for the climax when the creatures would be met and matched. Poor aliens, for their interests and antics had never involved human politics. Indeed the dance, it neared its end as the two bodies balanced in collision course two men, both tired, both lonely, to fend on their own, for their country, without remorse. They finally met, but skipped the introduction phase, and so, where otherwise mates could have begun, the aliens watched an explosive red haze. Once the hider had left, only our dying sun still watched the newcomer’s blood drying After Man had sent it, beastly, flying, onto the age-worn wall, the grassy mound the visitors had fled in terror of the ‘Life’ they had here found. |

Your closing line was the clincher! "the visitors had fled in terror of the ‘Life’ they had here found." Gets this Earthling missing Home! Love, Peace, & Harmony, EA |

I was a bit hesitant to post this one, due to it's big 'body', but very grateful to those who've muscled their way through! The subject is still burning in the back of my head though, so I might write more on it, perhaps in a different format/context. Thanks and Cheers ev'ryone Pops |

I am glad that a few special authors have the courage (and ability) to pen this type of (social impact/conscience) 'write'! Applause!! |
