Under the stars, when the frost starts to chill When the moon there is smiling and shimmering still When sight seems unending and sparkles so fill I feel but a speck on this land Under the stars by the shadow of moon Holding the image that passes so soon Hearing the silence of heaven in tune My company full and so grand Then wonder of heaven and where it might lie Of others in space and spirits that fly Of stars and their distance and what when we die Of life and the future in hand Drawn to the cosmos to travel with mind Where so many wonder of what they may find Finding at end, that the ending is kind But often we don’t understand All of these stars are God’s children at play All hidden from sight with the coming of day But shinning so brightly when day fades way To offer their bounty as planned Atop of this hill where the world I can see The night shows its beauty and all it can be The stars sparkle brightly, so brightly for me As beauty again takes my hand |

Enjoyed the read, Rick, and, yes, we are all just specks on the land but so very privileged to have so much beauty around and above. |

This reminds me of my visit to Glacier NP... where I felt both completely insignificant... and part of some wondrous whole. *S* All of these stars are God’s children at play And sometimes, we're lucky enough to watch. *S* Beautiful work!! |
