That rodeo circuit has been the downfall- Of many a guy, beside me. Enslaved by a lifestyle, and so mesmerized, Convinced in our minds we were free. Eating from cans as we went down the road- Sharing floors in some motel. For an eight second shot at the dough, Arena lights casting their spell. Riding while hurting, and “cowboyin’ up”- I guess that we must have been fools; But folly’s contagious, and least, so it seems, Just look at the ‘rodeo schools’. The school that I went to, was back on the ranch- Ridin’ old dinks that would buck, Determined to be the next “Casey Tibbs”, or ‘Shoulders’ With a wee bit of luck. But now I am older, and my view is different- And somehow that all makes me sad- When ridin’ the bulls, it’s not ‘if you get hurt’- It’s ‘when’ and then maybe ‘how bad’. I guess I was never ‘the wolf of the world’- But I thought I would give it a spin… You may think I’m crazy, but given a chance, I’d do it all over again. |

"Eating from cans as we went down the road- Sharing floors in some motel. For an eight second shot at the dough, Arena lights casting their spell." Sounds like something seen on the “silver-screen”, I think you should write a book about your rodeo adventures. Very interesting. Enjoyed the read!
