Flurries of them flock in,landing in trees, screeching. Bustling, jostling, scheming. Waiting for the pray to visit them in their town, priming, ready. Signals from the leader and away. Wheeling, diving, pray powerless, seemingly doomed. Raiding parties alight, steal, threaten, cajole, through some sublime influence of cohersion. The pray gives up it's food, continuing in its sheeplike behaviour, walking in lines with others, while the victors prepare feathers for more victims. Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky, ring out the old, ring in the new, ring out the false, ring in the true..A Lord Tennyson |
