I sleep through day, noise and voices around
To keep troubled thoughts at bay
But once night falls there is no escape
And all whispers sound like yours

By light a soul stays fair and strong
When dreams feel easy and sweet
But as night takes my resilience away,
Casts your shadow across nightmares

You’ve been in me so long by now,
Your very spirit in my blood
So when I go to the sea, I’ll open my veins
And surrender us both to the flood

For to carry you in these heavy bones
No longer allows me to fly
The powers I once felt through you are lost
And flightless birds have no will but to die

Moondogz.. pretty much hit the nail on the head there, oh well teenage issues.

Diamond, very very insightful! This actually got me back on a sane, 'rebirthed' road after a very long senseless affair.
