The acts of life that plague us now The time of then that was our fate By demon prod we beg and bow But years of peace, they come so late Forgiveness is a field of flowers But its crop is slow to grow From the thoughts it often cowers Sparse the seeds that hope did sow People are all wounded soldiers Scared and patched from many wars Guilt and worry grows and bulges Sweat of nightmare fills the pores But just a prayer can feed the field Sun will shine where there is hope Forgiveness grows and life the yield Finding then we better cope So no matter what the past may be The bad of life that speaks to mind Forgiveness comes and we all see How wonderful this world we find |

Hello, Rick! "Forgiveness is a field of flowers" ~ What a lovely way of putting it. Forgiveness is also a gift that we give to ourself. Holding a grudge is like wearing a yoke around one's shoulders ~ and heart. Another gem from your pen! Loving hug, Linda |

Enjoyed, even with a field of flowers there must be a sense of understanding to forgive ( or at least thats what I believe ) |
