Yesterday slips like sand through fingers bleeding onto the ground around my feet and I try to sink my toes deeper into the warmth of it while trying to hold on to each solitary grain for just a few seconds longer so that I might feel the slipping memory, once more.. oh for just once more before it melds into the sands of time to be washed away on some moonlit tide and I shall then be left, stranded naked in my essence, with nothing but the chill left behind to remain. "In yearning for nothing, you will be free to enjoy what you do, free to see the patterns, free to hear the music in all things." |
