Standing Facing heaven Closed eyed Naked, in exaltation of Permeating heat Water shed for thee *** Poet's Note- I am always in awe of the miracle of water after an exhausting day! It's calming, yet invigorating. This was inspired when I was wondering what it would be like to go back to the days when showers were non-existent. Then, I wondered what it would have been like to have been the first person ever to take a HOT Shower! What things we now take for granted! Glory to the inventors of hot water tanks and showers! ~~misce [This message has been edited by miscellanea (09-12-2007 11:10 PM).] |

I can picture you standing there naked! ~ Metaphorically speaking, that is! ![]() Were your arms up in the air in exaltation? ![]() Cute write, cutie pie! ![]() EA |

EA, Now how do I respond to this? Um...rather embarrassing! As you say, METAPHORICALLY naked! Certainly not about me--just the feeling of peaceful ecstacy. A pleasure to hear from you again. Have a great week and up-coming weekend! misce |

miscie, So are you back-peddling? It wasn't that hard to picture. ![]() If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, |

Larry C., Now, back-peddling, I ain't. Really, Truly, this is a spiritual piece of writing! It just happens to have a naked body in exaltation of the wondrous gift of water... And you don't buy that? Why, Larry, that's the clean truth and nothin' but the truth, so help me Fido. Sure am glad that you found it a comfortable write. It's good to hear from you again, Larry. Be well. misce' |

Enchantress, What a welcome pleasure it is to hear from you again. It seems I rarely get to be here any more; I so miss my Piptalk friends. I hope all is well with you and great things are on their way. Again, it was nice to hear from you. I'm glad you enjoyed. miscellanea |

A great write...I sometimes wonder the same especially when our water was cut off for street repairs...I am even more fond of whoever developed the bathtub since I love to soak even more~~ ![]() M |

The metaphor in this is perfect Misce, I could feel the tranquility of it. Nicely done, much enjoyed. I'm so happy that I can't stop cryin, I'm so happy that I'm laughing through my tears...TK |

nakdthoughts, I can tell you know exactly what I mean! Those long soaks in the dark with only a flickering candle, I bet! My husband and I pioneered a spring for our water supply. It tasted great, but because of the slope and distance across the creek the water had to travel, we sometimes got air in the line. During those times, we, too, had no water. Sometimes we had no H20 for weeks before we could solve the problem. Thank goodness for laundromats and YMCA's is all I can say! But you know, although those times were rough, they were good. Glad you enjoyed the write, and I hope that water flows into your home regularly! ~misce' |

Gentle Spirit, It pleases me that you found enjoyment from my poem. What greater thing could a poet desire? I'm glad you liked the metaphor. Have a great weekend, G.S. ~misce' |

Yes, it is true that we take too many things for granted, dear misc! A perfect little gem, I see it like a prayer of gratitude and of living the moment in total awareness. Water ... LIFE! Wonderful. Love, Margherita |

feeling nostalgic for good showers here in peru... you're right that the stuff is precious. we should all take the time to appreciate our water. and now that i've reflected on it, i shall feel well-rounded and scholarly for the rest of the day. |
