The only time one sees them Is if he takes off from work To go shopping There they are With a cart full of groceries Slowly gracefully gliding Among the aisles As if some rare species Of beauty infrequently observed Who immediately focus an awe And you know Unless you grew up next door Carried her books to school In a world you shared Together For all you were and are However scholar poet Hero faithful paramour You had no chance . |
