Of love, dreamy beauty quiet solace resides within
Holding hands whispers of friendship forever
Time test bonds, like steel breaking
Never thought it would be me … …

Emotions stir and passion un-brindled
Oh never mind tears falling
Chasing materialism most needed
What about love?

“Yes what about it,” you say
Can’t pay my bills
Understanding situations complex in adult world
But why did you lie?

Naïve then, youthful days
Childhood memories, like yesterday
Of dreams, and coquette laughter
Flirtatious winks all gone
