Late-Summer Sunset (partings and passages) With the last glimmering glimpse of sunset cloud-orphans dancing through an endless sky, in the thunderous calm just before twilight, when even these hills grieve the late Summer’s passing, and this lake becomes a clear-bright mirror of yesterday’s dreams and tomorrow’s uncertainties, we seek both human and Time’s forgiveness for all that ‘should have been’, and I remember your ‘final- parting’ thought: “Follow only the Autumn wind, for it shall always ‘know’... so much more than we!” ~ |

This timeless write is so much more than the sum of all its words, Poet. The power and truth contained within, so beautifully expressed, brings tears when re-read. |
