~I am a woman...awake~

I am a woman
I am a wake
But you don't need that
You want a woman
Who would sleep
To the deep
Waiting forever
For all the promises
You ought to keep

I am a wake
Let the earth shake
And bondage brake
You can no longer
Bind me down
I wear my freedom
Like a crown

Go..tell the whole town
Here is a woman
Refuses to be treated
Like a clown
Drawing a laugh every day
As if there is nothing else to say
When all the world collapses all a round
And you..
Prefer silence
And hearing and making no sound

In silence
You wrapped me up
But one day
You'd choke up
And stop

~ You go, girl! ~ Or should I say, "woman"!

Love your attitude and the expression of the woman in that painting! No man could ever own either of you!

Sounds like you've "got a new attitude" and you wear it well!
