Yet another very old poem, ![]() I walk down a path, and see all that lives. It's Green, it's Brown, and joy is what it gives. Some who want it preserved, and some they want it dead. If only they would stop, and just think with their head. It gives us life, and sometimes Peace. If only it were illegal, and protected by Police. As it is now, it is growing very thin. When did it start, and just who said, "Begin". It smells good and the air is clean, it's what God gave us first. It sheltered us and fed us, then quenched our thirst. So leave it for our future children to see, and let it bring them the same joy it brought me. |
