Hark, what jingle in my pocket makes,
What coins tinkle in their mixing
From folded currency that breaks.
Listen for they are echoes of bought
That food for hunger’s fixing
In nearby fast food joint t’was sought.

Hark, what rumbling dies to quiet
As it falls fast into acidic pools
As ravenously I did just eat it
Disregarding greased health warning
And as that meat inside me does cool
There sitting as ends the long morning.

Gloom
Oh, how does mirth overtake me.

making me want a "Big Mac" which of course would never agree with me...

(I empty my change so I don't jingle)

Professor Gloom,

This worked for me, until the last line.

"There sitting as ends the long morning."

I just can't understand how it fits with the rest.

I'm dull.

I was a bit surprised to see this brought up,
so far from the past.

Perhaps, I should write some more,
But likely I would just confuse others.

The last line
as I remember it
was more upon a personal note,
I had been awake throughout the night and far into the morning.
Not particularly unusual for me,
but this eating was,
due to the type.

If memory serves me correctly,
this was just before the establishment closed after many year of service.
