I Won't Give Up

You had your chance
When I was there
You chose to ignor me
Because you didn't care

What is different now
That you changed your mind
Or do you think you can use me
For just a short bit of time

You didn't care how much I hurt
When you just pushed me aside
All that emotional pain didn't
Just go away over night

It has taken me all this time
To get my life back together
And to tell you the truth
My life is so much better

True, there are some lonely times
But then, I was lonely there with you
So, just where do you get the notion
I would want to see you, too

It has been such a struggle
Just to get back upon my feet, again
Although I haven't quite made it, yet
I won't give up, until I win

So you just stay where you are
And, I will stay right here
In the safety of my own home
Living without any fear
