I could say you are my hero
tell you of the bravery of each minute
movement through the door of coming home
careful consideration of small things
laughter seeping into words of play
the music of your thoughts in orchestration
of the steadfast way that you begin the day

I could say that I am new within your eyes
and the promise of my vows delight me now
for playful diligent percussion of the fun
where I’ve passed the growl of neglect
to find my new grown up silk gown

I remember the song of our beginning questions
paper wrapped and opening so much time
to see the distance first
was easy faster laughter
now I see it gather gratitude with thirst

is only one of many reason dear
