Never Lost to Thought

There it is
that unsaid again
keeping me awake
as I kick off the covers of time
and thirst for more.

Questioning the night
serenaded by dark thoughts
longing for the belonging
and footsteps to leave behind
memories of another life...

Never lost to thoughts of you.
