Elements of Me There is a silence, then reverie then a comfortably distant pain these are stationary elements of me heart, still and idle, bound by rain that carries a thunder, yet far away not loud or great enough to be known he knows that I will always stay assuming my concomitant state of alone. Existing within me, without questioning why without asking if I might run away should it come closer and intensify would it ever be like me to betray the elements that make up me the team that forms my grain this, the silence, then reverie and the ever-present pain... I will stay, he's always known, provided I'm allowed my state of alone. |

I have to be honest. I both hated it, and loved it. I hated it because the first stanza feels like a stagnated surrender--and I want more now (C'mon...you've got it.) But then your second stanza reveals you complicity, so it is hard for me to have sympathy, even when I understand.... I loved what you did with the poem though, I really thought it stretched beyond longing, and I could almost "see" you weighing options on both hands. Much love to you, my Dixie Dear. |

I found it very moving to read this authentic soul-searching expose. I found the following lines to be especially discriptive ~ and touching. "heart, still and idle, bound by rain that carries a thunder, yet far away not loud or great enough to be known". You have been taking steps forward in leaps and bounds when it comes to knowing and understanding youself, Darlin' Dixie! You are a beautiful work in progress! ~ and thank you for sharing your intimate thoughts and self-appraisals with your caring readers! ![]() Sending you a great big hug-o-love, Linda |

Dixie...There must be holes within you from all the deep digging that you do to find out the truth. That's a good thing. ![]() |
