If only I could sleep awhile and stop pondering outcomes of things that might never come to be- mostly it's the past mistakes that keep circling over me like vultures waiting for a martyr, for the eyes to finally close in peace, anticipating some meaningless victory when the mind dawns and gives release. I gaze into the darkness where thoughts are grim and deep, maybe they would leave me be if I could only sleep. |

Know just what you mean, Dixie. My days and nights are all mixed up. I have a friend who used to tell me that when I couldn't sleep I should imagine a limp old soak over in the corner of the bedroom and "become" that limp old sock. It worked back then. My 84 year old mother tells me to take a hot shower (grins). Wishing you pleasant dreams when you get that needed rest. *smiles*...jo |

Dixie, as you can see by the time on some of my posts, I also have this problem. I honestly think, though, if I would just get off the computer, I would go to sleep. I usually do when I lie down on the couch to watch a tv program. Then, when I wake up, I get back on here. LOL I think it may be an addiction. Goodnight, Dixiegirl, and dream sweet dreams!! "I gaze into the darkness where thoughts are grim and deep, maybe they would leave me be if I could only sleep." With time comes healing. Get "positive" into your dreams. JL Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: |
