The Mow-Mow Bird There is a bird talking to me not twerp or tweet from the tree across the alley alive with leaves within these “mow mow” I heard It’s clear as a throat of quiet red feathered blue at best of wing twigged with curiosity’s eyes shy beak with turned down sound My saunter stops so teased alive I cock my ear aware of where upon the fallen and noisy clutter wait peering into the riot of winter staked Rating the meaning quite amazed “mow mow” I say “Mow mow” comes echo its or mine conversation is what it seems as sniffing dog Doubtful looks and means “come on come on what’s all the fuss it’s just a bird that’s obvious” “Mow mow” again voice falls from the tree what kind ? puzzles up my face when I reply again like foolish girl’s first discovery of a world she hasn’t seen before Would not a wing in rustle make be known or dance on floor of twig release a drone of wing to gift me more as Doubtful drags her eyes around and sighs and pulls with brown soft cute “Mow mow” my back some tingle feels as something glad distributes day like soap I’m clean and smiled out loud on way Doubtful in lead and me the stray |

ah mah sweet marite--and I don't know why, but this reminded me of a Dorothy Parker story... She had picked up a cat, to pet the kitty and the kitty said to her "Meow." "Aw," replied Mrs. Parker in sympathy. "Me 'ow' toooooo." purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I'd rub my head on your ankles too. Mow Mow? I love the way you relate life around you to your life and translate it for us all. kisses |

Karen.... I wasn't sure how to spell the sound..."mow" was as close as I could get....anyway it rhymes with owe...can't help but think it must have been a cute little thing, but then I love birds! Oh...I say Meow too...as I'm sure you do. |

"when I reply again like foolish girl’s first discovery of a world she hasn’t seen before" Not foolish...more than girl...you have the eyes of first discovery and the gift it takes to share... |

I think the soap got in my eyes, Sissie... So many thoughts I have about this release, so many wiles of way of word, and sound, and I am curious as to the tune of mow long o or short? high tweak or low? I'll get back to you. |

He is a stuttering communist bird....telling you thoughts-thoughts of Mao-Mao.... ....leaves plenty of space for "Ughs".... I've heard lots of birds, but never one who said that.....might it have been a special love call of Mr. Blue and Oreo? I hope so! ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

I really enjoyed this, Martie, because I recently had a similar experience. I didn't talk back but listened and scanned the trees. Never did see the bird though. Have seen yours through your words - lovely! |
