. So our women Slept with other men While we were at the Front Well what of that In ten years time They thought it a crime That any of us went The colors we strived To keep alive Now rags of flags Upon our graves No one cares What we suffered for So turn out the light And let us sleep . |

As it still remains an issue of controversy, I would say that some still do care, even though others just leave it be - a reminder of so many things. And not all women forgot their real love in any of the conflicts, over time. |
