in the shadows

Circle large
to move within,
in charcoal drawn
you may begin;

do not fear
for being proud,
within this hoop
no men allowed;

cast the salt
in ring around,
single chime
three times the sound;

blade of steel
at peace in hand,
sit relaxed
no need to stand;

light candles
at each compass point,
a fifth within
by milk anoint;

sip
the slightest bit of wine,
allow the fifth
your face to shine;

in the quickening
Serenity,
is the welcome gift
of purity;

let Bridie's hand
becalm the womb,
no evil
should the soul assume;

the vision will
in time begin,
the poet Goddess
heals within.
