Winter Mosaic Montage of sparse and jagged edge Clear crystal point on rocky ledge The howl of vast pastiche come hail Drift thought and mind down winter dale Thick socks of wool to insulate Plunged through the white sprawls integrate The mime of trees capped silent spare Appreciate my silence there Upon my path the tinkling ice Where water runs its mouth come spice Upon my knees to soul resolve The breast of earth cut clear absolve Then chickadee and nuthatch rend To forage folly apprehend In songs make peace ferocious winds Applaud and heal insolvent spins On tableau set this theme remands Assorted views, mosaic lands Copyright Kkh 2/2/07 |
