Can You Sense My Longing

I was going to write a letter
Still I paused once again
I thought it over for days
Could my words really explain

Shall I pour out my thoughts
I had the pen in my hand
What I have on my mind
I hoped would you understand

Since you heard it all before
I tried to find words anew
Yet the letter is the same
As I write how much I miss you

You were always on my mind
I know you must be aware
As I write loving thoughts
In mail I send from here to there

I hope my thoughts reach you
Here in the words I convey
Can you sense my longing
As I missed you more each day
