Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

As some of you know, I have been spending most of my time helping my Mom who has been ill.I am sorry that I am not responding to poems.I do come and read as I can, but often that is at a time that I can not write responses.Hopefully, I can come in and write my butt off to all of you this weekend.Until then, this is to my my Mom ...

Underneath the pale moon light
My Mom would tuck me in for the night
Blankets snug up to my head
I can still hear the stories that she read
In the darkness I had no fear
Because my Mom was always near

When darkness swept over the light of day
In my bed I would quietly lay
Her soft voice would sing me to sleep
After I prayed the Lord my soul to keep
In the darkness I was held tight
My Mom was always near until early light

Now I am grown and still she's near
Her stories still ring out with love so clear
My Mom has never turned away from me
She is my friend and loves me tenderly
In the darkness I am not afraid
My Mom will always guide my way

Together we cherish each and every day
And through all darkness we will find our way.

no crying, teeth gnashing, or hair tearing for you. ^_^ Moms are a good thing, but my mom... bless her heart... is so uptight. She needs to loosen up. lol
