Saturday Mall-Walking I was looking for shoes, anodyne for the blues, not even thinking about falses and trues when I was caught in a sound, so I looked around and found a man laying Dylan down. He told me not to let other people get my kicks for me– guess I’m transparent and any one man band can see all my years of sophistry. As if we conspired in a crime he sang, stacking rhyme onto rhyme- building that other place, that other time when a white dove could fly through the cannonade sky and we all asked ourselves why. I could see he knew time is subject to change, all the worlds rearrange, cruising kids think he’s strange but he’s willing to fashion a noose and let it hang loose forming snares from the juice of Bob Dylan. Thanks, guys. It surprised me to hear him being sung in the mall. I stopped and sat and listened for a while. There were a lot more people at the country singers' place further down. And the piano player in the central part always has five or six sitting to listen and rest their feet. I enjoyed it so much, I had to write about it, but I'm not that good at conveying a personal experience so it was hard to write. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

Nan darling one, ah you have such a way with words, always have and always will. You conveyed exactly the rhythm and rhyme and I could almost hear him singing his amazing songs. You really do have an amazing talent, love the flow, it is simply divine. Sorry I’m not here more, but life always seems to get in the way, university, being a wife, forging links with both our families, it all takes time, and there is so little of it these days. Still whenever I do get a few moments, and I can sit without either being sick or too much pain I pop in and flit in and out the poetry. A bit like a butterfly sipping poetic nectar when I can. Always a real pleasure to read You darling one, for your words are always something special. as always Mushy x x x x x x x Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds |

Nan, I love this! It is so easy to find poetry just about anywhere, as Martie showed us a few days ago, and here, you are showing it to us again... when one is aware of their surroundings, even in their own mist of deep... it can become a beautiful world! God bless the songs, and artists who sing them. |

I could hear Dylan in this as well. I think you've done a great job conveying your enjoyment into something we can all share. Well done! Caroline He who wants a rose must respect the thorn. |

Ahh, always pleased to be reminded of Dylan... As has already been said the words were remincisent of a Dylan song. I am probably close in age to the cruising kids who "think he’s strange" but then the greatest lyrics ever written are; "Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free, Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands, With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves, Let me forget about today until tomorrow." Not all of us think would think he's strange... |

you wrote of this so well I felt like I was there and it makes me want to go to the mall, as much as I hate crowds |

Thanks guys. And Trisk, he sang that one too. It's always been one of my favorites. But he didn't sing Rainy Day Women. He laughed when I asked for it, and said 'I never would have thought you'd ask for that one!' So I guess I'm not totally transparent. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

Sigi Pilgramige the ballad speaks of life as it is,not how we wish it could be.And Bob Dylan was one the best!
