A question and creatures plea

The creature asked, why do you kill?
But then so claim to love us still
To give us things as if a friend
But then declare our day of end

The creature asked about our war
And what did people fight them for?
And why when mankind could refrain
Does hate and anger still remain?

I looked within my heart and soul
And all those things that make me whole
But for mankind I could not say
The reasons he does act that way

The creature said; as you we love
Our family, friends, the sun above
The earth we tread, the home we share
And often all the people there

But here our future’s yours to give
Our time, our end, the way we live
We’re at mans mercy everyday
Praying kindness comes our way

I am but one creatures voice
Asking you to make this choice
Of living equal and in peace
Of letting days of killing cease

I shared the thoughts that I had heard
The each and every piercing word
And many friends became to see
That that is not how we should be

And one by one the people saw
The world as they had not before
They found compassion, found their heart
Found a place where they could start

And though the world will never be
A perfect place where all are free
One creature and compassions ear
Had started what would grow each year

So now each creature’s voice does speak
Through people who the righteous seek
And slowly, slowly more will find
We’re here to love more than mankind

Rick I really enjoyed the philosophy in this.

a good commitee can decimate communication.
