In brightened image a form appears Flowing as gracefully as Elysium tears Statuesque beauty emerges in halo of light Fantasy encounters reality in this sight In these chestnut eyes and hair Appetite of the deep forest exists Forever lost but with no despair Untamed nature cannot, her, resist Within this sensual angel's gaze Within her mesmerizing glance Caught in her enchanted maze Each man would take a chance To sell his infinite essence For a single word from this vision For single moment in her prescence Each man, in turn, will envision Between the day and night appear Twilight stars and pale sun's mirror Yet, each is paler in its measure Than this heavenly, faceted, treasure Poetry is just the evidence of life. |
