 Artist: John Burcham Lost and Alone ~ Linda L. Dowd Cold winds raged down from the north, whipping the snowy peaks into whirling funnels of white. With the sinking of the sun, snow devils appeared as spectral beings searching the lonely reaches of this faraway place. There, in the twilight hours of my life, I stood alone and in awe of Nature’s power and majesty. The virgin forest was laid bare and vulnerable as the winds of change stripped the insulating cloaks of sable from the once-proud stands of spruce, fir and pine. In the swiftly dying light, the dazzling beauty of late afternoon sun, had been replaced by deep, soulless grays. A chill invaded the marrow of my bones as I trudged onward ~ lost, cold, and losing my hold on reality. The heavily falling snow began to impede my vision which was soon limited to only a few feet before me.No longer could I see the proverbial forest for the trees... This dwindling trail of desolation, eventually disappeared into nothingness and I plunged into the depths of despair and desperation... Yet, I continued to plod onward through this nightmarish landscape. ~ Onward and upward. Praying that I might, once again, find my way onto my destined path and into the Light. “We are borne of star dust, and to the stars we shall one day return.” ~ Linda L. everyone, has their time, their moments, their sometimes perplexity of truths, despair, heartache, illnesses....and yes, even losses...but I've learned from a very sweet insightful lady who'd been blessed with a perception beyond what most obtain...or even begin to understand, that to send out positive energy is the only way to stand tall. I love you, and wish you nothing but positive energy... yanno, you can take a positively undesirable moment and make it sound so utterly right... listen for the smiles in the sounds, as you have certainly portrayed here you ARE blessed and one of His Angels.  |
