Poetic Song When stirrings of my soul begin To urge the hand to move the pen I’ll put in print a dreamer’s word A simple song my heart has heard A favored thought from long ago May be the cause for ink to flow Or beauty found on nature’s stage Can put the words upon the page A bit of humor that I’ve found Across the paper dance around With hope perhaps they will beguile And bring about a happy smile Or thoughts to entertain a child At times across the page run wild A journey to an unknown world Come forth as pages are unfurled But every piece of work I write With meter loose or meter tight Of verses short or verses long Are part of my poetic song |

"But every piece of work I write With meter loose or meter tight Of verses short or verses long Are part of my poetic song" And such a beautiful song your soul sings! Love this ...a keeper! In the midst of winter, |
