There you were today,
different colors,
different shades.

Floating in my minds eye,
life reminders of what was,
what is, and is yet to come.

Stains remain, never removed,
your footprints, across my soul,
allowing me to smile within.

Just one breath of happiness,
for a moment, I could breathe,
once again, feeling alive.

You still do that to me,
a thousand years could pass,
and yet I could still feel you
there, here with me.

For without you in my life,
I am dead, you breathe love,
back into me.

You bring me life,
with words, letters,
dots, and i's.

Even though time has passed,
the circle brings us back,
Where there will always remain,
our connection.
