it wasn't easy unwinding my mind
but your bare shoulders had handles
that knew where my hands needed to be

to spin my stones like a tipsy turve
and you said it was in the water
and the warm of other's eyes

knowing you were being watched
that made you afraid enough
to burrow into old bone leather

looking for armor without amour
just for the moments of exploration
until you got your boots back on

and swayed back into the saddle of my hands
