Under this spell,
chained, closed,
dying,

Puppet on a string,
tangled, mangled,
no untieing

truth spoke words,
I held true,
all along,

lying, lying,

The painted mask,
to me, was real,
became the illusion,

Just another trick,
like all the others,
just another mask,

without a face.
