Amidist the trees, dark and black, winds blow harsh, limbs bend and crack, Ravens perch at rest, hawking eye peers, not to leave their nest, noises taunt their ears, Dark shadows fall, black as pitch, Owls hoot a call, as rats hide in ditch, These, creatures of night, hide from day, two faces, blinded by their sight, seen in all the places. The raven will feast, tearing and ripping, west to east, blood stains dripping, If you walk alone, dark, dark black forest, no flesh but bone, all remains,regretful remorse. |

My preference tends to be toward dark poetry as well, so don't I hope you're not apologizing. I haven't been reading as much online lately, so I'm sorry that I have missed much of your work, but I loved your topic--and the theme. Enjoyed.  |
