How shall I sleep without your arms to hold me tight against your charms? In truth, the night will cool and fade before my head is once more laid against the downy soft of sleep which folds me in its nightly sweep. I smile and kiss your lovely face before I leave our last embrace; I sing to you sweet lullabies to watch you sigh and close your eyes. Find peace in dreams, my gentle love, between the stars that shine above. Poetry is just the evidence of life. |
