Summer Songs This yearning, forms a purple haze In eyelash beats, the veils to raise Exposed, two hearts relate in kind The magic only they could find So long ago, awakened then The past released, to start again Withholding nay, the chains of heart Each to another, times apart Rhetorical, the winds of change Unstoppable, as fates arrange A summoned graze relieves alarm For neither could the other harm She knelt to raise his hopes aloft He bowed, and kissed her cheek so soft Among Queen’s Lace, and chicory Together given easily As fingers sealed the lips and ears Eternal love so often hears The songs of summer so conspire In thoughts still trade such deep desire Copyright Kkh 7/8/07 |

I especially like: yearning……purple haze; “Rhetorical…… winds of change” and: “…awakened then The past released, to start again Withholding nay, the chains of heart” [would that things typically came to pass thusly] Applause for Summer Romanticism! |
