"Stars of Night"

They’re mirrored on the water as they shimmer in the sky
The light they shed is overlooked by many, even I
Glowing brightly from the darkened blanket where they lie
Watching from above us as around the world they fly

Gazing down on those they know and those they’ve yet to meet
The light they cast before us helps to guide our wandering feet
The comfort from their glow can lead us down the darkest street
As lovingly they watch us from upon their lofty seat

Yet even when forgotten they cease not their lovely gleam
Bright pinpoints of heaven through the veil of night they seem
Gazing down upon us as we sleep and as we dream
The enemies of darkness for eternity, I deem

AMdG

and quietly they speak to me and say
you have to wake and face another day.
tho' while I slumber everything is gray
the sunshine comes to make another day

I like it that you have already imposed on a reader the sense to respond to your poetry.  That is a great compliment.
