Now don’t get me wrong.
Mom treats me good,
and I love her,
as I should.

The only thing is,
she never has any money,
and she never cooks.

She just never buys much
in the way of food.

Any extra money she has,
she kinda spends on beer.

I’m lucky though,
I live near a place we call
the holy sisters’ inn,
down on the avenue.

A bunch of Catholic nuns
runs the place.

Yeah, you guessed it.
They feed me for nothing.

Actually,
they feed a bunch of us.

All I have to do
is help them clean up
every night after dinner.

I don’t mind doing that.
I’m the one that gets to
clean the oven,
because I’m small,
and I can fit in there.

I strip down to my under shorts,
just climb right in,
and start scrubbing away.

After I’m done,
the sisters always
give me a nice
cold glass of milk.

That always goes down
real good.

If it weren’t
for the holy sisters’ inn,
I’d never get anything
but stale chips to eat,
and I’d never get milk at all.

They’re nice down there,
and they always thank me
for cleaning up.

Bobby

I'm glad Felix had someone to look after him. Not sure about the climbing in the oven part though...a bit too Hansel and Gretel for me

Ruth,

They never tried to cook Felix.  They were good that way.
