Sometimes,
on my side of
some no where,
this feeling plays there

at the edge of my mind

softly, like a warm embrace
undeniably, I languish
immersed in thought

lingering

like shimmer on pearls

I become lost
in a stolen moment
where at times
I swear,

it is you
that I'm feeling

there.

No more hangin' on to the past
No more filling up my tomorrows
With yesterday's sorrows
No more lookin' over my shoulder {T.Tritt}

Love this verse.

i love how the poem seems to revolve around the word "shimmer". i don't hear that word often and it was quit refreshing.
