Subtraction leaves me here. Clouds will draw back, pain from nothing will haunt, hurt, tear. Sleep, activity, may ease my mind? Like a flower on the river of life, too much water has rushed you downstream. Perhaps my sight of you dimmed like an amber glowing evensong sun, setting down low, slowly? Bathing all around in a surreal coruscating light? I kept looking after you? But the dazzle of your feelings supplanted me? Strangers voices were mellifluous songbirds warbling. Mine, the insipid seep of disappointment. Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky, ring out the old, ring in the new,ring out the false, ring in the true..A Lord Tennyson |

Even though the suns amber glow, slowly fades into the sky, dimming,....yet there is morning, when the sun rises again, glowing brighter than before..another day, another chance. Sometimes when flowers float down stream, the come to a place where their seeds are planted, firmly rooted, to bloom again... Very thought provoking poem... tingled my mind  |
