Fear of not knowing Fear of loving too much Fear of pain Fear of not ever knowing true love Fear of not reaching love’s ultimate high Does it exist? Love is it real? I’ve seen miracles of love I’ve seen the struggles to keep a love I’ve cried many tears over a lost love I’ve cried tears of fear over a new love Fear… such an inner struggle Can we overcome it? The chance we take The love we seek That feeling we feel The one we give so freely Is it all worth the trip? When do you know? How can you tell? If your love…. is all that’s needed… Fear … its all fear… All these questions… why the fear Close your eyes and let it go It holds me down … It holds me close… It has no mercy…it has a hold .. Why the hold now… What has caused it I am lost, why now after all this time This fear .. How I loath you Go away.. let me free I can’t live with you inside of me Every tear that flows, is a tear of fear Let me go, let me fall, let me learn I have fallen many times before… Why protect me now Why the fear of pain… What’s so different now?
