Many years, days had passed, thousands of words written, all collected and stored, tucked away, Days of rain and sunshine, sometimes, when its silent, she sits in her white gown, upon her window sill, With a cup of warm tea, sipping it, gazeing, into the stars, the clouds, She thinks of you, your love, your voice, she cherrishes the memories, As nights moon cast shadows, gentle winds, blow upon her face, she closes her eyes, wishing it were you, your touch, your gentle hands, fingers, upon her skin, She quietly pulls out, letters and photos, pictures and cards, with scent and love, Your words are moving, touching, poetry, of loves deepest passion expressed, between them both, One day you will find them together, In a shop, a store, inside the book. J. M. Barrie, the playwright, may have said it best when he wrote, “God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December.” [This message has been edited by A Romantic Heart (06-26-2007 02:44 PM).] |
